For years, the Mercedes-Benz GL has set countless standards among 7-passenger luxury SUVs, much as the S-Class sets the bar for sedans. For 2017, it's reborn as the new GLS, and its many improvements are wrapped in fresh new style. New LED lighting front and rear, and bold new wheels from 19 to 22 inches are among its many brilliant details.

Expressive new headlamps draw more than admiring eyes: their LED Daytime Running Lamps help other drivers take notice of your approach. Stylish new taillamps include new LED brake and turn signal lamps, and "twin torch" LED running lamps.

Large side doors and innovative EASY-ENTRY 2nd-row seats welcome up to seven adults to three rows of luxury seating, including a spacious third row. Advanced Direct Injection engines make more power and torque from less fuel, including biturbo gasoline V6 and V8 engines, and a state-of-the-art clean diesel. Along with a new 9-speed automatic transmission, new DYNAMIC SELECT lets you choose a driving mode to match your mood, from Comfort to Sport or even one for slick surfaces.

Standard 4MATIC all-wheel drive instantly sends power to the wheels that can use it best, inspiring confidence in any season. The 4-wheel AIRMATIC suspension adapts to changing roads and cargo loads, enhacing driving control and passenger comfort. Innovative options include the roll-taming ACTIVE CURVE SYSTEM and a rugged Off-road Package.

There's simply no other 7-passenger SUV like it, from its handcrafted biturbo V8 to its exquisite Nappa leather. Increased power (577 hp) is expertly sent to its AMG wheels (up to 22 inches) via AMG Performance 4MATIC, an AIRMATIC-based AMG Sport Suspension and the ACTIVE CURVE SYSTEM.
