Encino Chamber of Commerce Recognizes Michael Sage with the Business Person of the Year AwardLOS ANGELES, CA - Michael Sage of the Sage Automotive Group has been recognized with the 2012 Business Person of the Year Award by the Encino Chamber of Commerce. This annual award is presented to one business man or woman in the local community who has reached beyond the day-to day operations of their own organization(s) to support the chamber and help improve the infrastructure of the local business community as a whole.
The Encino Chamber of Commerce is made up of 400 member companies who work together to provide government advocacy on behalf of local businesses, create networking opportunities that enable local business people to stay connected, foster opportunities for professional development, and sponsor an array of special events throughout the year. The chamber supports the community with events such as "A Taste of Encino," an annual street fair which helps to unify neighborhoods and introduces more than 10,000 residents to a wide variety of local businesses and eateries, and an annual Teacher of the Year Awards Dinner which honors the outstanding achievements of local educators within the community.
The chamber also provides a local disaster preparedness program, and a Senior Services Directory for the San Fernando Valley.
Sage has been a member of the Encino community since the 1960's, and has been an active member of the business community for more than 30 years. His family owned group of seven automotive dealerships includes Morrie Sage's Universal City Nissan, which was opened by his father in May of 1969 and has been an asset to our local community for more than four decades.
